The processing parameters which can be controlled separately are water content, feed rate, barrel temperature and screw speed (if the speed is variable).

Four, dry - directly puffing food generally after extrusion processing for drying. The water content of the raw material of expansion machinery is 13%-16%. After extrusion, the water content drops to 8%-12% due to steam flash and evaporation. Then, the water content is reduced to 2-5% or less to form the environment needed for crisp texture and stable price life.

V. Paint - The puffed and dried product shall be sprayed with oil and flavoring agent. A coating of oil and flavoring agents usually accounts for about 20-35% of the weight of the finished product.
